Hired by University Hospitals Health Center in North Ridgeville, OH, Susie was commissioned to create a biophilic art installation for the main lobby that could soothe the psyche of those entering inside. By developing a free form composition inspired by swarm patterns found in the natural world, Susie created an iconic design that's one of her more memorable designs. 

From end to end, the composition is 12-foot long and is made out of 74 custom wooden shapes mounted with 74 stainless steel standoffs. Installed by 3 people over 8 -hours on scaffolding over the stairs, "Swarm" meanders across a vertical wall in rhythmic, undulating pattern to subconsciously connect patients to the natural world as they arrive at the hospital for their health care needs.
