Designing for wellness: How to make your home more peaceful
SAN DIEGO — Susie Frazier experiences anxiety, but like many of us, she went undiagnosed for years. That's when she learned that little fixes in your home can help reduce anxiety up to 60%.
As we begin the height of holiday stresses, decorating the home is not just overwhelming but incredibly stressful. However, Frazier has some tips to avoid all that anxiety. Frazier recommends bringing the outside back inside of your home. Gather leaves, rocks and branches from your neighborhood and use them as table decorations.
“Being able to touch and see actual materials from the earth or even just integrate natural patterns into surfaces, textiles or art has been proven to reduce anxiety in humans," said Frazier.
