For a residential client, Susie was asked to design a bedroom headboard that could transport guests to calming place with a bold but organic design. Inspired by waving grass stalks near water's edge, this engraved maple headboard created a tactile experience in addition to a visual one, subconsciously relaxing anyone enters the room. Organic patterns from the natural world, infused into the visuals found inside manmade environments have been widely documented to reduce anxiety and depression in people.
